Creator Dodgeball World Championship hits 123K Peak Viewers, Team Kick wins
The much-hyped Creator Dodgeball World Championship was held on December 10, marking Ludwig’s first event since signing a new contract with YouTube. What made this new deal unique was that it allowed him to broadcast any special production on numerous platforms, meaning he could simulcast on Kick or technically even return to Twitch.
This competition featured 30 personalities from prominent platforms, including podcasters and chessboxers. They were split into six teams, with the list of participants boasting names like Ludwig, Sykkuno, Valkyrae, Fuslie, Myth, Hasan, Mizkif, and Sapnap. Most intriguingly, Twitch CEO Dan Clancy also took part in this tournament that followed standard dodgeball rules with some tweaks and additions regarding tiebreakers and overtime.

When it was all said and done, the Creator Dodgeball World Championship hit 123.3K Peak Viewers, which came around the end of the first semifinal between Team YouTube and Team Chessboxing. The former won 4:3 to make it to the Grand Final, where they would unfortunately lose to Team Kick 2:5.
The winning side comprised Yassuo, Sapnap, Nadia, Will Neff, and Caroline Kwan, who was voted the tournament's Most Valuable Player (MVP). The red platform, meanwhile, consisted of star names like Ludwig, Sykkuno, Valkyrae, Fuslie, Lilypichu, and Michael Reeves. The presence of such online stars helped this event register 494.8K Hours Watched and 95.7K Average Viewers over five hours of airtime.

It was broadcast live on the Twitch handle of his Ludwig's company, Mogul Moves, apart from his YouTube account. Fans who tuned in got to see quite a lot of action, including tiebreakers with a paper airplane competition and juggling, and a half-court shot competition that awarded the winner $1K.
Most of the event's watch time was taken up by YouTube, with Ludwig's official handle attracting 62.65% of the overall chart. The rest was taken up by Mogul Moves on Twitch, proving once again that the 28-year-old remains the foremost name in the streaming world from his platform.
He is certainly atop the pile when it comes to organizing such special events that end up becoming successful in terms of audience numbers and any kind of financial windfall. That is why he manages to partner with the best brands and companies repeatedly and can pursue such new projects and make them feasible for the long term.

Team Kick's story also was pretty noteworthy, as it only had three members since most of its top streamers had been banned by Twitch so they could not appear on the platform's videos. As a result, two forced substitutes were allowed in the form of William Neff and Caroline Kwan, and it worked wonders for the side.
The Creator Dodgeball World Championship has been another successful tick on Ludwig's list of events, having already held the Mogul Chessboxing Championship and the World’s Greatest Gamer. Considering the numbers these tournaments are generating, it wouldn't be surprising if the American continues to experiment with such novel concepts that bring big-time content creators together and give viewers quality content over a few hours of airtime.
