DreamHack Dallas 2024 results: Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 became the most popular games of the festival
From May 31 to June 3, the United States hosted the major esports festival DreamHack Dallas 2024. The event featured 11 tournaments across various disciplines; the championships for Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 attracted the largest audiences, with peak viewership reaching 65-66 thousand concurrent viewers.
A notable highlight of DreamHack Dallas 2024 was the allocation of numerous slots for the upcoming Esports World Cup. The top eight players of Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 tournaments earned spots for the super-tournament in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, six teams from the Fortnite competition and two players from the EA Sports FC24 tournament secured their places in the World Cup.

The Street Fighter 6 tournament matches at DreamHack Dallas 2024 generated 558.4K Hours Watched and 65.8K Peak Viewers, making it the most-watched event at the festival. Despite this, it ranked only 14th in popularity among all Street Fighter 6 tournaments held this year. The winner was Japanese player Gachikun, who defeated Britain's Problem-X in the final with a score of 3-1.

The Tekken 8 championship at DreamHack Dallas 2024 slightly trailed the Street Fighter 6 tournament in total viewership hours but achieved a nearly identical peak viewership. This Tekken 8 event ranked among the top five most-watched tournaments in its game for 2024. Japanese player Nobi emerged as the champion, defeating South Korean player Rangchu in the grand final.
The DreamHack Dallas 2024 Fortnite tournament generated 444K HW and 42.4K PV. This was a relatively weak result, especially compared to the FNCS series. The winner of the battle royale event was Team Falcons, comprising four players from Europe.

Clix, a professional Fortnite player, took second place in watch time. The third spot was claimed by AussieAntics, a well-known content creator from Team Dignitas, who provided coverage of his team's performance in the battle royale tournament.
