Esports organizations KOI and Rogue announce partnership
KOI, a Spanish esports organization co-owned by the popular Twitch streamer ibai and the footballer Gerard Piqué, has partnered up with the American club Rogue. The announcement was made on Rogue's official website and KOI's social media accounts. No details of the deal have been revealed, but it is known that the strategic partnership will begin in January 2023.
The joint announcement said that the partnership "will help KOI and Rogue become a dominant force in Europe," and will allow both organizations to expand internationally. Moreover, the streamer ibai will be the ambassador of this partnership, working with KOI teams in LVP SuperLiga and Valorant Champions Tour, as well as Rogue teams in the Call of Duty, Rocket League, Rainbow Six and League of Legends (LEC) professional leagues.
Rogue is the current LEC champion — the team won LEC Summer 2022 and qualified for 2022 World Championship, which is currently taking place in the United States. It is also one of the most popular League of Legends teams at the end of the Summer Season.
KOI is the most popular team in the Spanish national league LVP SuperLiga. By the end of the summer season, matches with its participation accumulated more than 3 million Hours Watched and drew almost 100K Average Viewers. This team and its media coverage helped LVP Superliga surpass the VCS and LLA leagues by the main viewership metrics.
