The Honor of Kings World Cup 2025 reached over 653,000 Peak Viewers (PV), setting a new record for the mobile gaming title. Honor of Kings is a MOBA title which is massively popular in mainland China, and originally, Arena of Valor was released as an international adaptation of it. However, following the continued success of both games, publisher Level Infinite gave HoK its own global version in 2024.
Now, Honor of Kings is finding brand-new successes at international events like the Esports World Cup 2025, where English, Tagalog and Indonesian-speaking viewers were crucial in the total event peak. The mobile gaming esports scene is highly contested and competitive, and yet, new titles continue to set records and find their own fans in this hectic ecosystem.

13 different tournaments set new records for at least one language demographic at the Esports World Cup 2025. Honor of Kings saw the most explosive international growth for its viewership, recording 8 separate records for various European and Asian languages.
Free Fire recorded a new Bengali Peak during the matches featuring Bangladesh Champion team Red Hawks. Although the organization finished the tournament in last place, their passionate fans stayed with them every step of the way.
Curiously, a new Nepali peak was reached for the PUBG Mobile tournament, despite not a single Nepali player competing; the viewership record here reflects general interest, which was boosted by the presence of popular co-streamers during the event.
Across most games, Arabic-speaking viewers set many new peaks at this year’s EWC. Games such as Street Fighter, Tekken, MLBB, Call of Duty, Dota 2, Counter-Strike and many more all set new Arabic-language records during the festival, highlighting the cultural power behind the Esports World Cup with this audience.

PUBG Mobile set the highest platform record throughout the EWC 2025, reaching over 264,000 TikTok Peak during the tournament. Generally, new TikTok records were common throughout the event: as one of the industry’s fastest-growing esports broadcasting platforms, TikTok set record after record throughout a diverse range of games.
Speaking of rapidly-growing esports broadcasting platforms, Kick also set various records throughout the EWC this year. The green platform has been making concerted efforts to set down roots in the esports industry, and the EWC 2025 showed there is potential for the title across various games and genres. Other minor platforms such as Naver’s CHZZK or Bigo LIVE also their own records throughout the EWC.
