Clip of Faker denying KT a winning team fight gets 57K views and counting

The 2025 League of Legends World Championship is underway, with T1 and KT Rolster tied at 1:1 in the five-match series. The two-time defending champion did well to come back from an early deficit and clinch the first game, only to lose the second as the latter ramped up the pressure.

One razor-sharp play during the first game from T1's star midlaner Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok was worthy of the admission fee paid by fans to watch this series. A clip of this moment also accrued over 55,000 views on social media at the time of writing.

Worlds finals debutant KT Rolster got off to a great start, overpowering its telecom war rival, getting the first blood and accumulating an almost 3K gold lead. However, T1 used all its big-game experience to pull the game back, with one such play from Faker sending viewers and commentators into a frenzy.

During a team fight towards the end of the first game, KT seemed to have T1 locked down, killing Choi "Doran" Hyeon-jun and targeting at least two more kills. But Faker, so far avoiding the skirmish as he rotated from behind, jumped in just in time to deny KT and help wipe out the opponents.

A clip of this high-IQ play from Faker on League of Legends Esports' official X (formerly Twitter) handle got 57.5K views around an hour after getting uploaded. The replies section was also filled with T1 fans showing confidence in their side, sealing an easy sweep.

The first map of this much-anticipated Grand Final reached just over 4 million Peak Viewers as T1 sealed a comeback to clinch the game. The Opening ceremony, meanwhile, peaked at 2.7 million viewers, lower than the 2024 and 2022 editions, but higher than the 2023 iteration.

Fans can continue tuning in to the Finals as KT Rolster chases its maiden world title while T1 looks to do a rare three-peat at the Worlds.
