FiReLEAGUE Latin Power sets a new viewership record
The FiReLEAGUE Latin Power Spring 2022 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament was won by Sharks Esports. In the Grand Final, the team defeated Imperial Esports and won a slot in BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2022 North America. In a new Esports Charts article, we will tell you how many viewers watched the event and how one of the most popular Portuguese-speaking streamers helped to set a new series record.
FiReLEAGUE series is organized by the tournament operator FiReSPORTS, which aims to develop esports in Latin America. The company is a partner of BLAST, and that is why its tournament provides a slot in BLAST Premier, one of the largest leagues in CS:GO.
Six teams (9z Team, Imperial Esports, Isurus, Leviatán, Sharks Esports and River Plate Gaming) received direct invitations to FiReLEAGUE Latin Power Spring 2022. Los Grandes and ELES made it to the tournament by winning the open qualifiers. FiReLEAGUE Latin Power Spring 2022 featured players from Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile, but the Brazilians made up the majority of the event's participants.

Imperial Esports became the most watched team of the tournament, amassing 1.4 million Hours Watched — 69% of the total HW for FiReLEAGUE Latin Power Spring 2022. This team is also the leader by Average Viewers. It is noteworthy that the top 5 matches of the event in terms of Peak Viewers included all games with Imperial.

Alexandre ‘Gaules’ Borba, who covered many of the event's matches on his channel, was the main reason for this. He did not miss a single Imperial game, which is why the team ranked in the top by all viewership metrics.

It is noteworthy that Gaules’ broadcasts of the Brazilian team’s games in the tier 3 tournament attracted about 200K viewers, while the matches of the top European teams in ESL Pro League Season 15 gathered many times fewer spectators. It should be noted that at the Grand Final of BLAST Premier Spring 2020 American Finals between MIBR and EG, Alexandre's stream drew 390K Peak Viewers — a record for the channel.
The interest of the popular Brazilian streamer, who also regularly covers BLAST Premier games, has greatly helped to improve FiReLEAGUE's viewership statistics. BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2022 North America matches will take place from April 27 to May 1. The tournament will feature the top eight teams in the region, and the winner will qualify for BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2022, which will be held in June. European qualifiers for the league's major tournament will take place on the same dates. The similar event for teams from the CIS was canceled by the organizers due to the situation in Ukraine.
