How to watch IEM Cologne 2023 — schedule, teams and broadcasts

On July 26, IEM Cologne 2023 (CS:GO) will start in Germany with a prize pool of $1 million. The tournament will feature 24 teams worldwide. This tournament will be the first serious test for many teams that have changed their lineups this summer. The new Cloud9, Natus Vincere, Team Liquid, and Fnatic rosters attract the most attention, where several players have changed at once. Take in mind that FaZe Clan for the first time will play the tournament without their coach RobbaN — he left the club in July after seven years of work with the team. The rosters have also been updated for Team Vitality, MOUZ, FURIA Esports, Monte, and other teams.

IEM Cologne 2023 will be held in three stages: Play-In, Group Stage, and Playoff. The winners of IEM Katowice 2023, ESL Pro League Season 17, BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 and IEM Dallas 2023 received direct invitations to the tournament. The rest of the slots were given to the top teams from the ESL World Ranking (they will start from the Play-In stage).

The IEM Cologne 2023 broadcasts will be available in various languages and platforms. The tournament will be covered on both official channels and community caster channels.

Schedule and format of tournament

July 26th - 28th — Play-In Stage

• Double-elimination bracket (оpening matches are bo1 and all following matches are bo3). The top eight teams advanced to the Group Stage.

July 29th - August 1st — Group Stage

• Two double-elimination format (GSL Groups). Each group has eight teams (all matches are bo3). The top three teams from each group advance to the Playoffs. 

August 4th - 6th — Playoffs

• Single-Elimination bracket. The Quarterfinals & Semifinals are bo3, and the Grand Final is bo5.

The winner of IEM Cologne 2023 will receive $400K and an invitation to IEM Katowice 2024. Last year IEM Cologne 2022 gathered more than 1.2 million Peak Viewers and became the third most popular tournament in 2022.
