The Lima Major 2023 (Dota 2) will take place in Peru from February 22 to March 5. The tournament will feature the top 18 teams from six regions, competing for $500K and 1,900 DPC ranking points. Esports Charts provides details on the event and tells you where you can watch the upcoming matches.

Viewership statistics of the tournament will be available here

The Lima Major will be the first official Dota Pro Circuit tournament to be held in South America. These championships have only been held in Europe, China, North America, and Southeast Asia before. 4D Esports and Epulze will be in charge of organizing the event in Peru — they have previously worked as contractors on the local regional DPC league, as well as hosted LAN and online tournaments for teams from South America.

Tournament Format

The format of The Lima Major will be the same as that of last season's majors. The participants will play part of their matches in the playing zones, while the final matches will be played in Arena 1, a venue for sporting events and concerts.

After the Group Stage, 12 participants will advance to the double-elimination bracket playoff, with the top four from each group advancing to the upper bracket and two more advancing to the lower bracket.

  • Group А: EHOME, Evil Geniuses, Execration, Gaimin Gladiators, PSG.LGD, Talon Esports, Team Spirit, TSM и Tundra Esports.

  • Group В: Beastcoast, BetBoom Team, Entity Gaming, Geek Slate, HellRaisers, Knights, Shopify Rebellion, Team Asters и Team Liquid.

The Lima Major broadcasts will be available on at least four platforms: Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Trovo. English-language streams will be available on Epulze channels, and Russian-language streams will be available on FISSURE channels. 4D Esports will be providing the Spanish-language broadcasts.

We should remind you that the second major of the DPC 2023 season takes in Berlin from April 26 to May 7. The championship will be hosted by Velodrom Arena, the capacity of which is up to 12K spectators.
