The first international event of the 2024 PUBG Mobile competitive season is almost here, starting with qualifiers, which will begin on March 4. The PUBG Mobile Global Open 2024 will be held in three stages — Qualifier, Prelims, and Main Event — with a total prize money of $500,000 on the line.
Registrations for the Qualifiers began on February 19 and will end on March 1, i.e., by midnight tonight. All registered teams will battle from March 4 to 10 on the South America server, with the top 32 squads progressing to the Qualifiers Finals.
This is where this PUBG Mobile tournament shifts to an offline format, as the 32 sides will travel to Sao Paulo, Brazil, for the second round, labeled the Qualifiers Finals. Each squad will earn $2000 for their appearance here, with the winning team punching its ticket to the PMGO 2024 Main Event.
Moreover, some sides from the Qualifiers Finals, alongside invited clubs, will compete in the Prelims, which will run from April 1 to 3. The top eight squads from here will advance to the PMGO 2024 Main Event, where S2G Esports, Alpha7 Esports, and IHC Esports have already booked their seats.
Readers must note that the winning region will win an extra qualifying spot at the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2024. The side will also take home $100,000, while the second and third-placed teams will get richer by $50,000 and $30,000, respectively.

PUBG Mobile esports in 2023

The game had a decent season last year, culminating in the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2023 becoming the most popular event in the series since the inaugural Season 0 Championship.
TikTok continued to show its worth to the mobile esports segment by seeing a significant rise in its viewership share. It reached a much higher comparative peak than YouTube Live viewership at the season-ending event, where IHC Esports emerged as the new world champion.
The PMGC 2023 also ended as the fifth most popular and third most watched competition in PUBG Mobile history, so there is a lot to build on in the new season. That is where a new international tournament might just turn out to be a good idea, and with the response so far being positive, the PMGO 2024 could get the season off to a great start.
