The PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2023, one of the biggest events in the discipline's calendar, will begin on July 11 and run till July 16. it will have two stages, starting with the Allstars one, from where the top six teams will advance to the main tournament.
So far, ten sides have been confirmed for the central portion of this PUBG Mobile tournament, consisting of one each from the Saudi eLeague, Japan League, South Asia Championship, MEA Championship, Americas Championship, and European Championship, and two each from the Peacekeeper Elite League and SEA Super League. With no Nimo TV to broadcast the event this time, it remains to be seen how the viewership stats of the PMWI 2023 pan out. For those unaware, the PUBG Mobile World Invitational is sponsored by Gamers8, the world’s biggest esports and gaming event. It will be the first international tournament of the game's competitive calendar this year and will emanate from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the home company's The Land of Heroes esports festival.
It has been part of this Gamers8 series since its inception in 2021, handing out some pretty high prize money amounts to its winners and participants. This year, the overall purse will be a whopping $3,000,000.
What happened last year?

The PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 ended up with the highest Peak Viewers number among all Gamers8 events last year with 421K people. It also did 236K Average Viewers and 7.1 million Hours Watched over 30 hours of airtime.
While these stats were not close to the audience reach of World Championships, this competition made it into the top three of the highest-paying tournaments in the history of this discipline, thanks to a $3 million prize pool. Ahead of it were the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 Finals ($3.49 million) and the Peacekeeper Elite League 2020 Season 3 ($3.1 million).
