How to watch VCT 2024: Masters Shanghai — teams, schedule, streams
VCT 2024: Masters Shanghai will begin on May 23 at the Valo Arena (VCT CN Studio) and the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China. The second Masters event on the Valorant calendar for the year will see the world's 12 best sides from its four major regions — the Americas, EMEA, Pacific, and China — battle it out for a prize pool of $1,000,000 and regional supremacy.
VCT 2024: Masters Shanghai format
Like the VCT 2024: Masters Madrid, the China tournament will have a three-round Swiss Stage that kicks off on May 23. It will see the second and third-best-placed sides from the regional league clash in each game, with two teams from two different regions featuring in each match.
Any side that loses two games is out of this Valorant competition, with sides needing two wins at least to move on to the next stage. A random draw between each round will be conducted to decide which teams face off next, with the last game to be played on May 27.
With the eight sides pruned down to four at the end of this phase, the action moves to the Double-Elimination bracket Playoffs, which begins on May 30 and runs till the Grand Final on June 9. To determine the first round of matches, i.e., Upper Bracket Quarterfinals, the top-seeded sides will choose their opponents in a random order.
All the games in this event will be best-of-three except for the Lower Bracket Final and the summit clash, where the teams will battle in best-of-five affairs. Moreover, just like in Spain, fans can catch the new map reveal and a Showmatch ahead of the title decider on the last day.
