Donk tops player mentions at IEM Cologne 2025 final
Esports Charts continues to share unique stats with Counter-Strike fans. After recently breaking down the overall viewership numbers for IEM Cologne 2025, we’ve now analyzed the most mentioned teams and players during the grand final of the German tournament. Thanks to our new tools, Esports Charts can now track chat activity not only on Twitch, but also on YouTube!
To recap, Team Spirit made quick work of MOUZ in the IEM Cologne 2025 grand final, securing a dominant 3:0 victory. The Russian squad controlled the match from start to finish — but when it came to chat mentions, they couldn’t outshine their opponent. During the final, MOUZ was mentioned over 20.1K times across Twitch and YouTube chats — 18.6% more than Team Spirit. Mentions of teams were higher on Twitch than on YouTube, with the purple platform remaining the go-to destination for esports fans.

The list of most-mentioned players during the grand final had no surprises. Team Spirit’s 18-year-old superstar Danil “donk” Kryshkovets took the top spot by a landslide. Recently named MVP of the tournament, his nickname was mentioned nearly 40,000 times across chats on 70 different Twitch and YouTube channels during the final series. Trailing far behind in second place was his teammate Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov, who racked up just 3.3K mentions.
Among MOUZ players, Ludvig William “Brollan” Brolin received the most mentions in Twitch and YouTube chats. We recorded around 1.2K messages featuring the Swedish player’s nickname, which isn’t too surprising, considering he had the highest individual rating on his team during the series.
The next major Counter-Strike tournament will be BLAST Bounty Fall 2025, taking place in Malta from August 14 to 17. You can follow the schedule and match results on the event coverage page.
