ESL Pro Tour united 15 CS:GO events to allow players all over the world to enter the professional esports scene. IEM New York and DreamHack Open Fall 2020 are a part of this tour, and today we'll find out which tournament performed better  and what team became #1 on CS:GO scene by popularity.

DreamHack Open Fall 2020

DreamHack Open Fall 2020 was held from October 10 to October 25. Sixteen teams fought for $115,000 and RMR-points.

The Viewers Peak was achieved at the match between Astralis and Vitality in the semifinals and concluded 141K. The final battle of Vitality vs. Heroic collected 138K spectators.

Vitality from France became the most popular team of the tournament - 67K viewers watched them on average. At the same time, Heroic won the tournament with 54K Average Viewers.

DreamHack Open Fall 2020 organizers provided the official broadcasts in 5 languages, that's why the audience is so diverse. English broadcast on Dreamhackcs channel was the most popular - 76K Peak Viewers.

Gaules' broadcast was the second by popularity - 67K Peak Viewers, and the Portuguese-speaking viewers of DreamHack contributed 20% to the overall Hours Watched number.

Maincast provided a Russian-speaking studio of the event, and their second channel gathered 16K viewers at the peak.

IEM New York

IEM New York was held in three regions: Europe, North America, and CIS.

In Europe, ESL_csgo attracted viewers the most among all broadcasts - 158K Peak Viewers on Twitch and YouTube channels. The Brazilian audience was the second in terms of viewers because Gaules hosted the official stream in Portuguese and collected 81K Peak Viewers.

The battle between FaZe Clan and OG turned out to be the most popular match - 248K viewers at the peak. We should note that this is their best meeting by stats.

FaZe Clan not only celebrated their victory in the European region but also were the leaders by Average Viewers - 139K. Moreover, the top-4 matches of the tournament were with their participation.

North America engaged fans the most. It's all thanks to Brazilian streamer Gaules and his Tribo, which supported the countrymen on Alexandre's official stream of the event.

244K Peak Viewers watched the broadcast, and the Portuguese fans contributed 67% to the overall Hours Watched number.

The official English-speaking broadcast was the second by popularity, but it gathered only 51K viewers at the peak. This again proves the strong love of CS:GO in this region because we see such a situation almost at every North American CS:GO tournament with Brazilian teams' participation.

The champs, Furia, were the most popular team of the event - 83K Average Viewers. Their final match with 100Thieves collected 183K viewers at the peak. This event was the last for 100Thieves because they were disbanded after IEM New York.

CIS was the last region of IEM New York, and the clash there ended on October 25. Compared to other regions, it showed the least impressive results.

Natus Vincere were in favor - 95K viewers on average, and all top-5 matches were with their participation. They've achieved such success, though they finished the tournament only at the 4th position.

They attracted both Russian and English-speaking fans to their matches. Team Spirit got third place because "Born to Win" couldn't participate in the match as Perfecto was diagnosed with Coronavirus.

The battle of NA'VI vs. VP gathered the biggest amount of viewers - 193K at the peak. This is their best meeting by stats for 2020.

The final didn't enter the top-5 matches of the event. The fight of Virtus.pro vs. Nemiga collected 86K Peak Viewers. The number could've been larger if NA'VI didn't leave the tournament.

Maincast studio collected 109K Peak Viewers and became the most popular broadcast. The streams of ESL_CSGO on YouTube and Twitch collected 89K Peak Viewers.

Let's compare the tournaments by Peak Viewers. DreamHack Open Fall 2020 is in the last place - only 146K. Strange that DH is at the bottom of the list, considering the fact that most European top teams participated in the tournament.

NA'VI made the most significant impact on CIS region stats, and, apart from Russian-speaking viewers, the tournament was watched by a substantive number of fans from English broadcasts. This shows the dominance of Natus Vincere among European teams by popularity.

One more proof is the situation at the finals of IEM New York CIS, as they didn't gather even half of the viewers because of the elimination of "Born to Win."

North American region became the absolute leader of IEM New York - 305K Peak Viewers, most of which came from Gaules' broadcast. The Brazilian fans affected this result the most, as they always agitate the statistics.
