Valve has announced the schedule and details for The International 2024 qualifiers. The Dota 2 developers have also revealed the six teams that have received direct invites to the world championship: Team Spirit, Team Falcons, Team Liquid, Xtreme Gaming, Gaimin Gladiators, and BetBoom Team.
This year, The International will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, with the final stage hosted at the Royal Arena. This venue is well-known to esports fans, as it recently hosted the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 in March, the first major event in Counter-Strike 2.
The International 2024 Main Event Details
The International 2024 will be held from September 4 to 15. The event will consist of two stages: the group stage on September 4-5, and the playoffs from September 6 to 10 and 13 to 15. The final segment of the playoffs will take place at the Royal Arena.

The International 2024 will feature a total of 16 teams: 6 teams will receive direct invites from Valve, while 10 teams will earn their spots through regional qualifiers. The closed qualifiers in the six regions will take place from June 9th to June 23rd.

12 teams will compete in the Western Europe qualifier, including two that advance from the open qualifiers. The top two teams from the region will secure spots at The International 2024.
