Keria extends contract with T1 until 2029 after back-to-back wins at Home Ground
T1 announced Ryu “Keria” Min-seok has extended his contract until 2029 following wins over FearX and BRION at LCK 2026’s first Home Ground weekend. The player also took home MVP accolades for both wins.
What are Keria's achievements with T1
Keria first joined T1 for the 2021 League of Legends season, making the jump from DRX, where he graduated through the team’s trainee program. Keria impressed many with his debut season in 2020, and while his team was unable to secure any titles or championships that year, he made his Worlds debut in his first-ever year of top competition, and he showed he had what he takes for top competition. After this debut year, he was quickly scouted by T1.
Since joining T1, Keria has become a triple world champion (2023, 2024, 2025), on top of many other prestigious medals such as LCK titles, an Esports World Cup victory, and plenty of podium places at top-tier events. Now signed with the roster until 2029, Keria is sure to be a force to be reckoned with in the LCK, and one who will collect many more MVPs and trophies.
What is the T1 Home Ground event?
The announcement followed the first of two T1 Home Ground events for 2026. Home Ground is a festival-style celebration featuring official T1 LCK and LCK Challenger matches, music and other activities. The first Home Ground took place at the INSPIRE Arena in Incheon, and the second event is scheduled to take place at the KSPO Dome, Seoul, in August.
How many viewers watched the first T1 Home Ground 2026 LCK matches?
T1’s start to the LCK 2026 Season has been tumultuous, trading wins and losses back and forth. However, things seemed steadier last weekend as the team competed at their own mini-festival. In T1’s first game against BRION, they managed to secure a 2:0 win, although it wasn’t an easy win for the current world champions.
In their game against FearX the following day, T1 seemed ever stronger, perhaps powered up by their cheering fans. T1 swept FearX 2:0, drawing over 859,000 Peak Viewers and delivering unusually strong mid-season esports viewership.

T1 remains undoubtedly the most popular team of the LCK in 2026. In their previous Week 3 game against Dplus KIA, over 964,000 Peak Viewers tuned in for this back-and-forth match that went to the final game three decider. Ultimately, Dplus KIA claimed the 2:1 win, but this near-million viewership count would have been impossible without T1.
Now, with Keria locked in until 2029, T1 are aiming to return to the top of their region and the world. Keep an eye on this year’s LoL esports scene, as they once again look set to be the center of attention.
