The debut trophy is going to G2 Esports with a phenomenal result of 22 million total hours watched in November! The “samurais” got such a popularity thanks to the final part of the LoL World Championship 2019. The team has participated in two historical meetings. First, in the semifinals, the team contributed to the largest peak viewers mark in the history of esports — 3 million and 985 thousand viewers. After that, G2 fought in the final of LoL Worlds, taking part in the second most popular match in history.
Worth mentioning that the team has received such a great monthly result in just two matches. The final of League of Legends World Championship itself eclipses the results of entire tournaments. For example, the total number of hours watched at MDL Chengdu Major reaches just over 10 million. This is 1 million 258 thousand less than the G2 Esports vs FunPlus Phoenix match.
