Most popular tournaments in June 2022
Update: Data on Twitch esports channels was updated: Kamet0’s KCX2 event that featured LFL match between Karmine Corp and Misfits Premier was watched by up to 180.5K Peak Viewers and thus made it to the top 5 instead of Gaules. New table with values is added to the text. Esports Charts apologizes for the initial mistake.
The first month of summer turned out to be much more modest in terms of major world championships compared to May. However, this did not prevent the most popular event of June from attracting significantly more viewers than the top competition of the previous month. Esports Charts tells about yet another success of Mobile Legends, which events were interesting for the English-speaking spectators, and how top French streamer attract a huge audience to local Trackmania events.
The most popular esports competitions in June
ML:BB is not slowing down: tournaments in this discipline top the rating of the most popular competitions for the fifth month in a row. MSC 2022 Finals, featuring the strongest teams from the major regions of the game in Southeast Asia, attracted over 2.8 million people at its peak: it was reached during the final between Indonesian team RRQ Hoshi and RSG Philippines. It should be noted that MSC 2022 is currently the second most popular event of the current year: only MPL Indonesia Season 9, another ML:BB event, managed to attract more spectators at peak.

BLAST Premier 2022 Spring Finals became the second biggest event of June in terms of concurrent viewership, however, its maximum audience turned out to be more than three times lower than that of MSC. The top CS:GO competition attracted 762.8K Peak Viewers during the final between Team Vitality and Natus Vincere.
LCK Summer 2022, the most popular regional league in LoL, took the third spot in the ranking. Traditionally, the match of T1 gathered the largest audience: 642.8K Peak Viewers followed the match between Faker’s squad and KT Rolster.
The fourth place is occupied by another CS:GO event, IEM Dallas 2022. Far from the most popular teams of the discipline met in the final of the championship (the Russian roster of Cloud9 and the European team ENCE), but the first triumph of C9 in years left its mark on the audience, which reached 405K Peak Viewers.
Most popular events among English-speaking viewers
In June, English-speaking esports fans mostly followed CS:GO and Valorant. The same BLAST Premier 2022 Spring Finals and IEM Dallas 2022 took 1-2 places. The largest audience was attracted by the event from BLAST, over 330K Peak Viewers at the final of the tournament, and the confrontation between FaZe Clan and ENCE in the group stage (193.4K Peak Viewers) was the most popular one at the championship of the Intel Extreme Masters series.
Third place in terms of audience went to VCT 2022: North America Stage 2 Challengers. The game between FaZe Clan and one of the most popular Valorant teams, Sentinels, attracted over 183K Peak Viewers on English-language streams.
Esports preferences of Twitch audience

Among the esports channels on Twitch, the largest gaming streaming service in the West, BLAST Premier's main channel reached the biggest audience of 234K Peak Viewers at the spring series finale.
It is interesting that the top French streamer ZeratoR, who covered his own Trackmania tournament (ZrT Trackmania Cup 2022), took the 2nd place on the platform by esports audience. His broadcast peaked at over 180K viewers, which is more than esl_csgo (IEM Dallas 2022) & lck_korea (LCK Summer 2022) attracted.
Fifth place was taken by the main CS:GO broadcaster in Brazil, Gaules, who can attract a huge audience even at tier-2 events in the discipline. This is exactly what happened at REPUBLEAGUE Season 3, where the team of his friend and compatriot Gabriel FalleN Toledo (Imperial) performed: over 161K Peak Viewers gathered for their match against ENTERPRISE esports.
