The Mid-Season Invitational 2025 has officially become the most popular MSI in League of Legends history. The exciting grand final showdown between Korean titans Gen.G and T1 captivated a global audience, reaching a new tournament and series record during the fourth game of the final. Each year, LoL esports further pushes the boundaries of esports broadcasting, and it continues to impress without fail. 

This history figure, recorded during the penultimate game of the best-of-five grand final, eclipses the previous MSI record. Last year, the MSI 2024 set the previous record for the series at 2 829 728 Peak Viewers (PV), but this year, the MSI 2025 reached 3 448 373 PV during the fifth and final game of its grand final

MSI 2025 record-breaking peak viewership

Although T1 took the early lead in the match, Gen.G struck back with a decisive victory in Game 2. After trading blows and games back and forth, viewership rose significantly between each game. This massive wave of esports viewers tuned in rapidly, with hundreds and thousands more fans tuning in with each complete game.
