RLCS 2022-23 Spring Split Major: Last chance for World Championship qualification

Jun 28, 2023 3 min read

The Rocket League Championship Series 2022-23 Spring Split Major drifts into the Agganis Arena in Boston on the 6th of July. The twelfth season of the RLCS will see 16 teams from all around the world come head-to-head for one last chance to grab a spot at the RLCS 2022-23 World Championship.

With August rapidly approaching and bringing the World Championship along with it, the Spring Split Major is the last chance for teams to earn enough points to qualify for the event. However, two teams are heading into the Spring Split Major already qualified for the World Championship.

Karmine Corp from the EU region has already secured their World Championship spot by winning the Winter Split Major. They have performed consistently well, finishing no lower than 2nd in seven events.

On the other side of the globe, Gen.G Mobil1 Racing have had a shakier Split. Nevertheless, they took home a first-place finish at the Fall Split Major, and after knocking FaZe Clan out of contention in the North American Tiebreaker they guaranteed their spot.

KRÜ Esports, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Rule One, and Elevate are guaranteed Wildcard spots, but a strong performance at the Spring Split Major could secure their qualification directly for the World Championship.
