Six Invitational 2021: Overall Viewership Review
Six Invitational 2021 was threatened with disruption due to the pandemic. France has tightened the quarantine conditions, so the event was postponed from February to May. 20 teams gathered at the Palais Brongniart, a historic site in the center of Paris.
Six Invitational 2021 is the first offline Rainbow Six Siege event since the beginning of the pandemic, but it was still held without an audience for safety reasons. In our new article, we will tell you about the results of the championship and who became the owner of one million dollars.
The competition was broadcast for 118 hours and during this time it got 18.4M hours watched. The total prize fund of the tournament was $ 3M. NiP and Liquid reached the final and their match with 306K peak viewers became the most popular at the tournament.

Team Liquid with 157K viewers on average became the most popular. They also lead in HW. Their dominance is explained by the fact that Liquid fell into the lower bracket at the beginning of the playoffs and played seven matches during this stage. At the same time, the winners NiP were in third place in terms of the average number of viewers and hours watched, as they played only four matches during the entire final stage.
At the moment, Six Invitational 2021 is the most successful event in the series in terms of HW and average number of viewers. However, it should be borne in mind that airtime has increased by 30 hours since last year. This also contributed to a 61% increase in hours watched.

The broadcasts took place on three platforms: Twitch, YouTube and VK Live. Viewers preferred the first platform most of all, and the most popular broadcast was on the Twitch channel rainbow6 — 127 thousand people at its peak.
Let's consider the audience of the competition. It is quite diverse thanks to the sixteen official broadcasts in different languages. Half of HW were brought in by English-speaking viewers, and ¼ — by Portuguese-speaking fans. The rest were fans from Japan, France, Germany, Spain and Italy.

We analyzed how the audience has changed compared to the Six Invitational 2020. English-speaking viewers have contributed 4% fewer hours this year, while the input of Portuguese-speaking fans increased by 7.8%. Japan and France lost 5.6% and 0.3%, respectively, but Germany, Italy and Spain rose.
Although the 2018 tournament is still leading in terms of peak viewers, Six Invitational 2021 showed a good result, as it greatly increased the number of viewers on average. Let's see if the next event in the series can break the record.
