Six Invitational 2026 maintains steady opening viewership for Group Stage

Feb 06, 2026 3 min read

The Six Invitational 2026 — the ultimate tournament of the Rainbow Six Siege esports calendar — is currently underway in Paris, France, at the Adidas Arena. The season-ending event runs from February 2–15, 2026, and as the official world championship of Ubisoft’s tactical shooter, it offers some unique insights to the landscape and viewership of Rainbow Six esports.

For its opening matches, more than 100,000 viewers concurrently tuned in to the first games of the Six Invitational, highlighting the still loyal fanbase of tactical shooter fans standing behind this esports title. Early viewership data from the 2026 group stage (Days 1–3) indicates noteworthy shifts compared with previous editions, with languages and platform demographics both evolving.

Six Invitational 2026 most popular matches, Days 1-3

On the first day of the Six Invitational, the tournament held its most popular game of the opening Group Stage days. Previous world champions and a strong opponent internationally during 2025, G2 Esports came to the SI 2026 looking to make their mark; however, the European organization was quickly dispatched by Shopify Rebellion, who gained momentum throughout the year to come swinging out of the gates at the ultimate event. SR’s opening game victory against G2 received over 107.8K Peak Viewers, making it the only match for these first days to reach six-figure concurrent viewers.

The other two top games for the opening days both came from Group C, too. FaZe Clan earned almost 71K Peak Viewers for their win over SR, and G2 Esports received significant attention for their early struggles. With FaZe, Shopify, G2, and Dplus KIA all packed into one group, viewership could suffer if some of these teams make early playoffs exits — or in the case of G2 and Shopify, potentially not qualify for playoffs at all.

Six Invitational 2026 viewership statistics, Days 1-3

In total, the opening three days of action at the Six Invitational 2026 generated 1.96M Hours Watched and maintained 57.2K Average Viewers. Most of the viewership was generated on the opening day of the event, but on average, the three first days all received roughly the same average concurrent viewers, within a 5% margin. While certain exciting matches are driving strong peak viewerships, overall viewership has remained at a steady level for the tournament so far.

For the Six Invitational so far, Twitch has become an even more crucial part of the event’s overall viewership. While Twitch was popular before — especially at the North American iteration last year — it gained a stronger position over YouTube. Also, English-language viewership became even more crucial for overall peak concurrent viewers, with the Portuguese-speaking demographic falling behind.

As SI 2026 transitions from the group stage into the playoff and final phase, all eyes will be on how audience engagement evolves and whether the finals can recapture the high attention seen in past years. Full, up-to-date viewership data for the Six Invitational 2026 and historical comparisons with past editions are available in the Esports Charts database.
