The Quincy Crew lineup on Dota 2 has joined US esports organization Soniqs Esports. The team will play under the new tag at PGL Arlington Major 2022, which will take place on August 4-14.
Quincy Crew was formed in 2018, the core of the team consists of former players from VGJ.Storm. The QC lineup has changed a number of times since then, and players have represented such organizations as Forward Gaming, Newbee and Chaos EC at various times. Usually, clubs signed Quincy Crew players for a short period or a particular tournament: for example, the Chinese organization Newbee signed the club exclusively for The International 2019.
The last time the Quincy Crew lineup changed significantly was in May 2022. At that time, MiLAN, ponlo and KheZu left the team and were replaced by LESLAO, MSS and Fata. They took second place along with YawaR and Quinn in the Dota Pro Circuit 2021/2022 regional summer season league for North America and won a quota for the major.
The teams will compete for $500K and 4.570 DPC ranking points at the PGL Arlington Major 2022. Soniqs Esports already has 582 DPC points. If he performs well in the major, he will be able to enter the top 12 by the DPC rankings and then will be eligible for invites to The International 2022.
