The Counter-Strike Major kicked off and set a local record in its very first set of matches, becoming the most popular esports tournament ever held in Hungary. The previous milestone had stood for a full seven years.
StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 live viewership
At the time of publication, StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 had reached a peak of more than 407,000 concurrent viewers. The current high was recorded during two simultaneous matches: B8 vs. M80 on Mirage (11:13) and Imperial Esports vs. Rare Atom on Dust 2 (13:11). The latter delivered the bigger boost, driven by the strong engagement of Brazilian fans.

The previous record dated back to 2018, when MOUZ beat Virtus.pro in the V4 Future Sports Festival grand final, drawing up to 209,800 live concurrent viewers. For years, the V4 events were Hungary’s strongest crowd-pulling esports tournaments, holding that position right up until the Major.
Stage 1 of StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 runs through November 27, after which eight teams will move on to the next phase. Keep up with the tournament and its viewership stats on Esports Charts.
