Which streamers affect popularity of female Valorant teams

The community casting accounted for more than half of the total Hours Watched in Valorant partner leagues, but it also played a significant role in covering female tournaments in the VCT 2023: Game Changers series. Representatives of LOUD became the most active community streamers, but Frenchman Kamet0 made the biggest contribution to the popularity of a specific team. Find out which other casters helped their clubs attract more viewers to female matches.

For analysis, we have selected the most popular teams from the three leagues of VCT 2023: Game Changers — six teams from Brazil, three representatives from EMEA, and only one team from North America entered the Top 10 by Average Viewers number per match. The difference between the Top 10 teams was significant. For example, LOUD Female had 57.6K AV per match, while Version1 had only 13.6K AV.

Earlier, Disguised GC set a record for Peak Viewers at Valorant female tournaments in North America — its matches were watched by over 146.5K viewers. This happened during the qualifying rounds for the VCT 2023 Game Changers thanks to the community casting organized by its owner and popular streamer Disguised Toast. However, the team did not qualify for the regional tournament.

The teams from Europe and Brazil also made it to the rating by Hours Watched, and the rating was greatly influenced by community casters affiliated with some of the teams.

The LOUD Female team became the most popular team at the VCT 2023: Game Changers by Average Viewers, and it also accumulated the most Hours Watched, 874.1K. Three club streamers, Coringa, Coreano, and Gabepeixe, made a significant contribution to this result. On his channel alone, Coringa gained 298.2K HW (over a third of the team's total). Altogether, the three streamers contributed to about 60% of the total HW of LOUD Female.

It should be noted that Coringa, Coreano, and Gabepeixe actively covered almost all matches of the Brazilian league, so de facto, they became top community casters for many teams. For example, Coringa amassed more Hours Watched than anyone else for Team Liquid Brazil and w7m esports Female, while Coreano became the leader in this regard at the matches of Black Dragons Female, ODDIK Bright, and MIBR Female.

The French team Karmine Corp GC ranks second in our list with a result of 834.3K HW. Interestingly, about 90% of the total HW was brought to the team by Kamet0, a top French streamer and co-owner of the team. This is the best example of a situation where the popularity of a team depends heavily on the streams of one streamer. Besides Kamet0, Karmine Corp matches were also covered by other French casters (for example, Wipr, loupiote3, chipsette_fr, and others).

In third place is the female team Team Liquid Brazil — its matches accumulated 551.2K HW. Top Brazilian streamers LOUD, whom we mentioned above, made a significant contribution to this, but also affiliated streamers of the club made their own small contribution. For example, the channel of a former member of the team, naxysz, gained about 16K HW (2.9% of the total). Slightly fewer were amassed by frttt, Brazilian Valorant streamer for Team Liquid, who also covered the matches of the female league.

The Turkish club BBL Queens accumulated 506.6K HW at the VCT 2023: Game Changers EMEA league. More than 31% of this number was brought in by KendineMuzisyen, a popular streamer and co-owner of the club. About 10% of this total was accumulated by other BBL streamers, cigdemT and Sinco.

The champion of the European league, the G2 Gozen, amassed almost 419K HW. Of these, about 40.2K (9.6%) were accumulated on the team member's channel of mimimimichaela, whose channel was taken over by the manager of the team.

The teams in the lower half of the ranking did not have their own major community casters who could significantly impact the number of views. The main audience for their matches was the trio from LOUD, as well as official broadcasts of the Brazilian Valorant league.

We should also mention Version1, the champion of the American division. The team accumulated 113.5K HW, thanks in part to the efforts of its streamer nosyy (whose contribution was approximately 1.5%). Interestingly, among the top community streamers for Version1, three representatives of the Disguised — Kyedae, ttupperware, and TrulyTenzin — were included. Overall, the streams of the girls brought Version1 more than 42% of total Hours Watched.

The VCT 2023: Game Changers competitions in Europe and North America will continue in July. As a reminder, the world championship of the series will be held from November 28 to December 3 in Sao Paulo: teams from Europe, North America, Brazil, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and East Asia will compete in the tournament.
