Team of streamers helps Prime League set yet another viewership record
Prime League 2023 Promotion finished on the 27th of September, and the league reached yet another milestone, setting a new peak viewership record. This event brought together the two best teams from the Prime League 2nd division and the two worst squads from the 1st division. Teams played in a double-elimination bracket, and the two best participants qualified for the Prime League 2024 1st division.
PENTA 1860 was one of the teams attending the tournament, but the organization was disqualified from the Prime League for “constantly failing to meet financial obligations”. Meaning that we had three teams fighting for two spots, which made the tournament even more exciting.
Another reason the tournament was so popular, was the presence of fan favorites No Need Orga. The group of friends had an amazing season in the 2nd division, and went into this event with the goal to conclude their fairy tale, by qualifying for the highest division in German League of Legends.
Tolkin amazing play wins No Need Orga a crucial teamfight.
Wave Esports dominated the event, winning the upper bracket final 3-1, guaranteeing their ticket to the Prime League 2024 1st division. In the decisive game of the event, No Need Orga faced a familiar rival in Hertha BSC, a team they had played against in both the Spring and Summer split finals. Hertha BSC took a commanding 2:0 lead in the series and it seemed the fairytale was over. But No Need Orga mounted a comeback for the ages, with all the players stepping up in the following three games, and reverse sweeping the series. With this amazing result, the team of five friends will now be present in the Prime League 2024 1st division.
No Need Orga players took to social media to thank everyone that supported them since the creation of the team. On a Twitter post, Tolkien said:
“This completes the Miracle Run. Two long months, lots of Bo5s, topped off with a reverse sweep. love these guys.”
The player proceeded to use a very well know Lord of the Rings meme but with his face, to celebrate his return to the Prime League 1st division, saying:
“The return of the King. 1st Div Baby”

Prime League YouTube channel was the third most popular, and second most watched.
No Need Orga played two matches in the event, and these were the two most popular matches. The decisive game against Hertha BSC claimed the first spot, while their upper bracket game against Wave, which had 64K Peak Viewers, was second on the list. WAVE vs Hertha BSC was the third most popular match of the tournament, but was far from the numbers reached by the other two features.

Most popular Prime League tournaments by PV
Prime League 2023 Promotion became the most popular Prime League event ever, with more 25.3% of Peak Viewers than the second most popular tournament. No Need Orga was fundamental for this viewership record the league established. The team is one of the most popular in Germany, attracting thousands of viewers to their games. It’s the second time a tournament beats the peak viewership record because of them: the first one was reached in the Prime League 2nd Division Summer 2022, the final was also between No Need Orga and Hertha BSC (91K Peak Viewers).
No Need Orga fairy tail is complete for now. The team will be back in 2024, but this time in the Prime League 1st division, the highest league of the German League of Legends competitive scene, and one of the best regional leagues in Europe. They will surely bring in many fans and viewers, and will definitely have a positive impact on the viewership of the league.
