However, special mention must go to Valorant, whose teams (Gen.G, Team Heretics, LOUD) came closest to notching the audience figures set by MLBB and LoL. The reigning LPL champion played 12 games between April and June, including games in its regional league and the MSI 2024, where its presence in the Grand Final played up to the Korea versus China narrative and contributed to it breaking various milestones. EVOS Glory marks MLBB's entry into this top-five list, with the former EVOS Legends spending the entire Q2 2024 playing its regional league, MPL Indonesia Season 13. This helped it hit 27.6M HW over 14 games as the side went all the way to the Grand Final, where it lost to finish second to continue its MPL drought, which now stretches three years. Last but not least is the team that beat EVOS Glory — Fnatic ONIC — to capture its maiden title after the merger of two successful esports organizations. The side played the most games among the top five, with its 23 matches helping it hit 23M HW over 51 hours of airtime, helped by its participation (and victories) in the Seleknas IESF Riyadh 2024 and the H3RO Esports 5.0. Top Esports Teams by Average Concurrent Viewership (Q2 2024) The top teams by average online viewership time across Q2 2024 A lot of the same teams that made the watch time top have found places on this list, with T1, Gen.G, and BiliBili Gaming maintaining their positions on the podium. The inaugural Esports World Cup 2024 for League of Legends winner was the only entry to pass the one million barrier, with its matches pulling in 1.1M Average Viewers per match. The other Korean side here attracted a not-too-shabby 938K AV, thanks to its wins at the two S-Tier events mentioned above. Like Gen.G, Bilibili Gaming also hit its all-time PV figure at a recent LoL competition and as one of China's top sides, expectations from fans will be high on the team making a mark on the global stage and bringing back the country's glory days after the recent Korean dominance. EVOS Glory stands as MLBB's lone representative here with 704.1K AV, maintaining its stature as one of the most consistent and followed sides from Indonesia. The only new entrant here is G2 Esports (LoL) in fourth, with the European side hitting 728.4K AV over 29 hours of airtime. During Q2 2024, it played 16 matches at the MSI 2024 and its regional league, LEC Spring 2024, which it won. As covered by Esports Charts, this split continued its recent growth, marking its highest popularity in three years despite a slightly more moderate growth rate. That this EMEA league improved its AV to 265.5K and reached 593.5K PV, roughly 21K more than last year, was down to a crowd favorite Grand Final between G2 Esports and Fnatic. The second quarter of 2024 completely belonged to MLBB & LoL, with their sweeping both metrics almost unchallenged. It helped that the various regional leagues and international championships were conducted during this phase.
