Valorant Masters Bangkok 2025 ranked as the second most popular tournament in the history of the series

The VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025 wrapped up on March 2nd, marking the first international Valorant tournament of the season. The event brought together the world's top teams and attracted hundreds of thousands of viewers for the live broadcast. The South Korean audience was particularly engaged, setting a new viewership record thanks to a thrilling final and T1’s victory.

With four regional leagues, eight of the best teams globally, and only one champion, the tournament was held in two stages: the Swiss Stage and the Playoffs. The biggest surprise of the first stage came with the early exit of Sentinels, the VCT 2024: Masters Madrid champions, and one of the most popular teams in the title.

The four teams that advanced to the VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025 Playoffs were EDward Gaming, T1, Team Vitality, and G2 Esports, each representing one of the partner leagues. In a tense final, T1 triumphed over G2 Esports 3-2, earning their first-ever Masters championship title in Valorant. For G2 Esports, making it to the final was a historic achievement for the American team on the international stage.

A full viewership report will be released on Monday, March 3rd.

Top matches of VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025

The grand final between T1 and G2 Esports was the most-popular match of the tournament, peaking at 1,307,646 viewers — double the viewership of the second-most popular match. This final was also the highest-viewed for both T1 and G2 Esports in Valorant, as neither team had ever attracted such a large audience in previous broadcasts.

In the rankings, three of T1's matches also made the top list — a remarkable achievement for a Korean team that had never placed this high in major tournaments before (for instance, at the last VALORANT Masters Shanghai 2024, T1 finished in 11th-12th place). Many had considered T1 an underdog going into the tournament, but their gameplay surprised both viewers and analysts. It’s an outstanding result for one of South Korea’s best esports clubs.
