VCT 2024: Masters Madrid marked the first international Valorant tournament of 2024. The decisive series between Gen.G and Sentinels proved to be highly intense, drawing over 1.6M Peak Viewers. However, peak viewership isn't the sole important metric in streaming. The level of viewer activity in the chat also plays a significant role, indicating audience engagement. Esports Charts analyzed the tournament broadcasts and identified other moments besides the grand final that were actively discussed by fans in Twitch chats.

Chat activity is one of the most important indicators of any broadcast, allowing us to gauge which moments elicited the most enthusiastic reactions from viewers. In case of 2024: Masters Madrid, peak chat activity naturally occurred in the final minutes of the grand final, when Sentinels clinched victory. At that moment, the total number of messages in broadcast chats exceeded 19.6K per minute, with over 13K people sharing their emotions with fellow viewers. Most commonly, viewers typed "GG," "EZ," and other abbreviations, along with congratulatory messages to Sentinels for their long-awaited win.
