How many viewers will turn into the finals of VCT 2025 Masters Bangkok?
The Swiss Stage of the on-going VCT 2025: Masters Bangkok is behind us, and the upcoming playoffs stage features top teams from each of Valorant’s International Leagues (IL). As the first international event in 2025, Masters Bangkok is our first glimpse into the potential of Valorant this year. Esports Charts has projected peak viewership results for the event, taking into account the average viewership of attending teams, and the dynamics of past Masters events.
The playoffs stage of Masters Bangkok starts soon, featuring a double-elimination bracket featuring four teams. As luck would have it, one team qualified for the playoffs per each International League, leading to a diverse spread of teams. EDward Gaming from China will face off against Pacific-leading Korean squad T1 first, and then Team Vitality and G2 Esports marks the EU vs. NA Showdown. With these teams queued up for the top prize, we foresee at least 900,000 concurrent viewers, more likely around 1,000,000.
In context, such a peak viewership would be a significant drop from last year’s recording-breaking VCT 2024: Masters Madrid, which reached 1,687,848 Peak Viewers. Nevertheless, it would still rank as one of Valorant’s top five most popular Masters events.

Masters Madrid enjoyed a significant boost in viewership from highly-engaged Brazilian and North American audiences cheering for LOUD and Sentinels, respectively. Without a Brazilian team at Masters Bangkok, Portuguese-speaking fans remain unengaged. Also, considering Sentinels are eliminated, English-language viewership will likely not achieve its full potential in the playoffs stage. Sentinels are massively popular, and according to our predictive data, a grand final featuring them would receive at least 100,000 more viewers on average.
Without Sentinels or other massive regional fan bases, the event is unlikely to break any viewership records, but it can still put forward a strong result. Chinese squad EDward Gaming is popular with Western audiences too; as the current VCT champions, many are comparing their favorite regional squads against this benchmark team.

Looking back across the Group Stage of Masters Bangkok, the results were promising. While still behind last year’s triumphant Masters Madrid, the Bangkok tournament recorded some VCT-leading statistics. Even without fan-favorite squads driving massive viewership spikes, Valorant esports is popular enough to record million-viewer peaks for its international events.
Compared to VCT 2024: Masters Shanghai, Bangkok’s Group Stage has received more engagement from English-speaking audiences, and enjoyed a boost in Korean-language streams. T1 is one of esports’ most famous brands, and if the team is able to continue their strong results, they could help push the limits of Korean viewership.
The Playoffs stage for the VCT Masters Bangkok is kicking off with the upper-bracket round on Thursday, February 27. The action continues throughout the weekend, with the grand final scheduled on Sunday, March 2. Keep an eye out for what could be one of Valorant’s most exciting finals yet.
