Results of the online stage of WePlay Academy League Season 2
The WePlay Academy League Season 2 CS:GO group stage for the youth squads has recently ended. Eight teams took part in the competition, and the winners were Natus Vincere Junior, BIG Academy, mouz NXT, and Young Ninjas, who received an invitation to the LAN stage. The online stage of WePlay Academy League Season 2 generated 273K Hours Watched over 55.5 hours of airtime. The matches of the youth tournament were watched by 4.9K Average Viewers and 20.5K Peak Viewers, with the latter figure being achieved during the encounter of Natus Vincere Junior and Young Ninjas in the group stage.
The Russian-speaking viewers made up the bulk of the audience of WePlay Academy League Season 2. Of the 20.5 thousand people who followed the NAVI.Junior versus Young NIP match, there were more than 16.1K Russian-speaking fans of Counter-Strike (78% of the Peak Viewers of the match).


At the same time, Natus Vincere Junior and Young Ninjas became the most popular teams of the online stage of WePlay Academy League Season 2. This was mostly achieved due to the great popularity of the players representing these clubs in their regions.
The matches with the participation of youth squads of NIP and NAVI gathered 10.1K and 9.3K Average Viewers, respectively. The viewers have spent 101K and 163K Hours Watched on the broadcasts of their matcher.

It should be noted that in both seasons of the WePlay Academy League, the most popular match was the encounter between Natus Vincere Junior and Young Ninjas. But at the first event, such an encounter gathered 28.4K Peak Viewers (38.5% more than in the second season).
Just like at WePlay Academy League Season 1, the youth squad of NAVI became the most popular among the participants of WePlay Academy League Season 2. The matches with the participation of the team gathered 392K Hours Watched and 16.7K Average Viewers.
Five matches with the participation of Natus Vincere Junior also became the most popular ones at WePlay Academy League Season 1. In addition to the encounter with Young Ninjas, matches versus BIG Academy, Astralis Talent, Fnatic Rising and mouz NXT were included in the ranking.
Compared to WePlay Academy League Season 1, in the second season, there was a decrease of English-speaking and Russian-speaking Peak Viewers, while the Portuguese-speaking audience grew by 18.3%. This happened during the match between FURIA Academy and mouz NXT, which was watched by 12.1K Portuguese-speaking Peak Viewers.
The match of FURIA Academy versus mouz NXT also entered the top 5 matches of WePlay Academy League Season 2 in terms of Peak Viewers. This was the only encounter without the participation of NAVI.Junior to enter the ranking.

Unlike during the first event of the series, this time NAVI made it to the playoffs of WePlay Academy League Season 2, making these playoffs destined to have higher viewership indicators compared to the playoffs of the first season. At the previous tournament of the series, the team was eliminated based on the results of the group stage, causing many Russian-speaking viewers to lose interest in the event.
The main stage of WePlay Academy League Season 2 will be held on November 12-14 in Kyiv at the WePlay Esports Arena. Natus Vincere Junior, BIG Academy, mouz NXT, and Young Ninjas will compete for the title of champion and a prize pool of $88K.
