The end of June marked the end of Dota Pro Circuit 2021 Season 2, with the owners of direct invites to The International 2021 being determined in the aftermath. Esports Charts collected statistics of all DPC events, identifying the most popular participants of the past season.
The teams were compared based on such indicators (derived from the teams’ matches) as the Average Viewers and Hours Watched. The data taken into account during these calculations was limited to the DPC online leagues and the Kyiv and Singapore majors.
Most popular teams of DPC 2021 by Hours Watched

Nigma managed to show the best result with 18M Hours Watched the users of streaming sites spent on broadcasts of its matches. The team of KuroKy was watched by 182K Average Viewers and 497K Peak Viewers.
Evil Geniuses was the only team capable of approaching and even slightly overtaking Nigma in terms of performance – as the viewers have spent a total of 16.9M Hours Watched on the streams featuring the team. Nigma also attracted a total of 645K Peak Viewers and 176K Average Viewers.
The third, fourth, and fifth spots in terms of Hours Watched were taken by PSG.LGD, Team Secret, and Vici Gaming with 13.9M, 12.1M, and 12.1M Hours Watched, respectively. It should be noted that among these three, the roster of Puppey collected the smallest number of Peak Viewers, despite having the largest number of Average Viewers: 397K versus 497K and 434K Peak Viewers, respectively.

Closing the top 10 were Team Liquid, Alliance, OG, Invictus Gaming, and TNC Predator. Whereas the first team scored 11.3M Hours Watched, the results of the other four teams are more uniform, varying from 9.1M to 8.3M Hours Watched. Not a single CIS-based roster managed to enter this ranking.
Most popular teams of DPC 2021 by Average Viewers
The highest-ranked DPC participants based on the Average Viewers indicator were Nigma, Evil Geniuses, Team Secret, and OG. The gap between the first and fourth spots is merely 22K people worth (182K versus 160K).
Standing out among the CIS representatives were Team Spirit and Virtus.pro. The roster led by Miposhka closed the list with 109K viewers, while VP entered the ranking’s top 5 by attracting 144K viewers and therefore overtaking Alliance, PSG.LGD, Team Liquid, and TNC Predator.

WePlay's AniMajor was the last event in the DPC 2021 lineup. This championship managed to set a new record for total Hours Watched among the non-TI events (37M hours total), as well as being only 137K viewers short of bypassing The Kiev Major 2017 in terms of Peak Viewers indicator.
