The group stage of AIC 2022 ended on June 19, determining the eight best teams that will play in the Knockout Stage. There was a sudden spike in the popularity of the Valor TV in-game player. Once again, the fans from Vietnam and Thailand were the most numerous. Esports Charts has summed up the results of the Arena of Valor event's group stage and its viewership statistics.

Group stage results

The results of past matches basically confirmed the overall balance of forces on the scene. Talon Esports strengthened its ambitions and finished both phases of the group stage without a single loss, and fan favorites Team Flash and V-Gaming also made it to the Knockout Stage. The Taiwanese ONE Team significantly improved its position compared to the first phase of the group stage: they took the first place in group B, having won all their matches in the second phase.

Malaysian team A Dope Team became a revelation to everyone; having qualified for the tournament through the SEA Wild Card Qualifier, they were able to get in shape during the tournament and managed to advance to the Knockout Stage from the second place in Group C.

The elimination of the AOC Spring 2022 champions Saigon Phantom was a big sensation as well. Thus, one of the main favorites of the competition left the tournament before the start of the Knockout Stage.
