Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series Season 1 has recently come to an end. 24 strongest teams of India competed for a share of 20M rupees (approximately $260K), a record prize pool for the regional version of the game. In the new article, Esports Charts will tell you which popular YouTuber's team became the champion, and how large was the audience attracted by the tournament.

Results of Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series Season 1

Team SouL (its owner and in-game leader is the popular YouTuber Naman MortaL Mathur who has more than 7M subscribers) became the champion of the event. It should be noted that Mathur has been performing on the PUBG Mobile pro stage since 2019, and was also nominated twice for the Esports Awards in the Streamer of the Year category.

Interestingly, Mortal's YouTube channel is hacked at the time of publication. The attackers deleted the records of all broadcasts over the past year and renamed the channel. YouTube's representatives have begun the process of returning the account to its owner.

OREsports was the main rival of Team Soul during BGMI Pro Series Season 1. In the first stage of the event, which lasted three weeks, it took the lead by overtaking Mortal by more than 40 points. However, based on the results of the tournament’s decisive matches, OREsports ended up taking the second spot, more than 80 points behind Team Soul.

Goblin from Team SouL became the tournament’s best player. Meanwhile, the team itself received not only the 7.5M rupees ($96K) for the victory but also the Fan Favorite Team award of 100K rupees ($1.3K) and a prize for the highest number of the first places taken in the amount of 200K rupees ($2.5K).

Tournament’s viewership statistics

In total, the matches of BGMI Pro Series Season 1 amassed more than 6.5M Hours Watched and attracted 73.3K Average Viewers. The event’s Peak Viewers mark was reached during the last round of the final day and amounted to 304.7K. The most popular broadcast language was Hindi, while YouTube was the most popular platform.
