French, German regional qualifiers for EMEA Masters Spring 2024 continue growth
The EMEA Masters Spring 2024 got underway on April 15 as an online affair with the Play-In Group and Knockout stages. This phase went on for the first three days, with the last four teams — Nigma Galaxy MENA, Geekay Esports, Gentle Mates, and Boostgate Esports — filling the remaining slots in the main event’s Group Stage.
This League of Legends tournament will run until April 28, with $80,000 in prize pool up for grabs. Among the esports organizations duking it out are Karmine Corp Blue, Team BDS, and Team Heretics, with this being the third edition since the merging of the Europe, Turkey, CIS, and MENA regions as one EMEA league.
The conclusion of the Play-In Stage might have put a brief pause on the EMEA Masters Spring 2024, but there's plenty of action to come. As fans wait for the matches to resume, here's some information on how teams qualified for this trans-continental competition and how each Spring Split performed compared to the other and past editions.
Top EMEA Masters Spring qualifier events

Among these League of Legends tournament that serves as qualification routes to the main spring championship, the LFL Spring 2024 was the most successful. With teams like Karmine Corp Blue, Solary, Gentle Mates, and Vitality Bee in action, there was enough interest among fans to see which three sides would seal their places at the secondary layer of competitions underneath the LEC.
In fact, this edition finished as the most popular ever in the series, showing once again why France remains one of the strongest markets for League of Legends in Europe. It also ended as the second most watched in the LFL series, getting the season off to a great start and proving that teams with connections to popular creators tend to affect the viewership dynamics of events.
Two other competitions were able to notch impressive numbers — Superliga Spring 2024 and Die Techniker Prime League Spring 2024. They reached over 2M Hours Watched, with the following they enjoy showing why both have been handed slots each at the EMEA Masters Spring 2024.
The German tournament entered the top three for watch time and peak viewership in the series, with the displays of NNO Prime undoubtedly aiding this cause. After all, one of the most followed sides in this region went all the way to the Lower Bracket Final in the Playoffs before losing to Eintracht Spandau.

The remaining leagues may not have had similar viewership figures, but there were ups and downs for each compared to previous years. The Hitpoint Masters saw one of its more successful editions, with the Spring 2024 ending as one of the three most viewed tournaments.
There were pretty steep falls in audience numbers for the Arabian League, while the Ultraliga steady decline continued. The NLC and TCL were also victims of a continued decrease in viewership, with the recent iterations proving to be some of their least-performing events in terms of pulling in crowds.

Coming to the languages, there was a small proportion of Chinese viewers influx into the Ultraliga Season 11 with the participation of two players from this Asian nation. Moreover, the Arabian League Spring 2024 attracted a lot more English and French viewers as the league steadily gets an influx of more and more players from around the world.
