Rumble takes largest portion of Esports Awards viewers
The coveted Esports Awards 2025 was held on August 24 in Riyadh. Esports Charts was named as a finalist for the Esports Content & Coverage Platform of the Decade award, with our colleagues at Liquipedia emerging as the winner in the category.
This year's Esports Awards, which "celebrated a decade of excellence and greatness," was held as part of the proceedings during the final weekend of the Esports World Cup 2025. The ceremony honored achievements in 14 categories and a nominees list featuring some of the industry's most iconic names. Some of the most prominent esports stars of the past decade, like Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and Faker, were recognized with nominations in multiple categories.

The event received extra media attention thanks to a star-studded roster of presenters. Some top names who emerged to hand out awards were legendary professional skateboarder Tony Hawk, Twitch sensation Tyler "loltyler1" Steinkamp, Sidemen star "Vikkstar" and multiple-time EVO champion Justin "Jwong" Wong.
His Royal Highness HRH Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Bin Sultan Al Saud was also there to present the Esports Organisation of the Decade award to the legendary South Korean side, T1. The Saudi Royal holds many positions, including Vice Chairman of Savvy Games Group since its establishment, with the organization growing from strength to strength under his stewardship.

In terms of livestreaming viewership, the Esports Awards 2025 attracted a much smaller audience than last year. It accrued 21,046 Hours Watched (HW) and 20,437 Peak Viewers (PV), having been broadcast on seven channels across Twitch, Rumble and YouTube.
Interestingly, the sole official broadcast on Rumble attracted the highest audience numbers, peaking at a considerable 13,100 viewers. It was a major reason the event's PV figure reached 20,0000 live viewers; if not taken into consideration, the peak live viewership fell between 7,000 to 8,000 viewers.
It also bears mentioning that Rumble topping the peak concurrent viewership charts is a bit surprising, as the Canadian company doesn't usually outperform the traditional big two of Twitch and YouTube. However, it does attract a healthy North American English-speaking audience, and a lot of the nominations came from this region.

Speaking of Twitch, it experienced a dip, with the combined watch time of the two official channels failing to match that of their Rumble counterpart. YouTube, too, saw its official broadcast channels overshadowed by the livestream of the Indian co-caster, Gulrez "JokerKiHaveli" Khan, a member of the S8UL Esports' content creator roster.
This glittering awards ceremony also marked the end of the Esports World Cup 2025, the second edition of the lucrative Saudi Arabia series. Team Falcons just about retained its Club Championship trophy, and a detailed account of the entire spectacle will be presented soon by Esports Charts.
