Esports take over Dallas: thousands tune in for Counter-Strike, Call of Duty, Brawl Stars, GeoGuessr, and more
This past weekend was a true gift for esports fans in Dallas, with multiple tournaments lighting up the city, from Counter-Strike championships and a Call of Duty Major to even the GeoGuessr World Cup Regionals. The Esports Charts team has put together a quick recap in case you missed any of the action.
IEM Dallas 2024
The biggest highlight of the weekend was the grand finale of IEM Dallas 2024 in Counter-Strike. Team Vitality secured their sixth championship title of the season, once again taking down the resilient MOUZ in the final match. With their winning streak now at 30 matches, Vitality looks to be in peak form heading into the upcoming BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.

IEM Dallas 2024 hit a peak viewership of 914,887, making it the most popular event in the series ever hosted in the city. Surprisingly, it wasn’t the grand final that drew the largest audience, but a group stage showdown between FaZe and Team Liquid. The main attraction? Superstar stand-in Oleksandr ‘’s1mple’’ Kostyljev, who joined FaZe on loan from Natus Vincere. You can read more about that here.
ESL Impact League Season 7
ESL Impact League Season 7 delivered plenty of thrills for fans of women’s Counter-Strike. The tournament turned into a showcase for FURIA Female, who kicked off their playoff run by defeating long-time rivals Imperial Female and went on to beat the breakout squad Supernova Comets in the grand final. With this victory, FURIA Female once again proved they’re one of the top women’s teams in the game today.

ESL Impact League Season 7 also posted strong viewership numbers, peaking at 102,644 viewers, the second-highest in the league’s history. A big part of that success came from Brazilian streamer Alexandre ‘’Gaules’’ Chiqueta, who hosted community broadcasts on both Twitch and YouTube. You can check out our full tournament breakdown in the article.
Call of Duty League 2025: Stage 4 Major
You can’t talk about North American esports without mentioning the Call of Duty League, the region’s flagship franchise competition. While other tournaments were underway, Dallas also played host to the Call of Duty League 2025: Stage 4 Major, where teams battled for crucial ranking points and a $375,000 prize pool.
In the championship match, LA Thieves took down Atlanta FaZe 4:2, locking in their second straight Major title. Meanwhile, OpTic Texas once again fell short of a top-three finish. Despite that, their matches pulled the highest viewership numbers at the event, while the grand final ended up being only the fourth most-popular match.

In terms of viewership, the Call of Duty League 2025: Stage 4 Major was right on par with the previous three Majors this season. The event peaked at 188,102 viewers, a slight increase over the last Major, but just shy of the numbers seen during the first two events of the year.
GeoGuessr World Cup 2025 - Americas Major
GeoGuessr is steadily establishing its place in the esports world. The third season of the GeoGuessr World Cup 2025 is in full gear, and this past weekend, Dallas hosted the Americas Major, where the region’s best players battled for ranking points on their way to the World Championship.
The Americas Major was won by American Radu "Radu C" Casapu, who took bronze at the World Cup. In the final showdown, he defeated MK, the silver medalist from the GeoGuessr World Cup 2024.

Viewership for the GeoGuessr World Cup 2025 Americas Major was modest, peaking at just 19,380 viewers, down 42.8% compared to the 2024 Americas Finals. That said, GeoGuessr fans tend to follow regional tournaments less closely but show much greater engagement during the World Championships.
Playing GeoGuessr sharpens your skills in exploring locations around the globe. However, the Visit Esports website is a far better tool for finding upcoming esports events. It offers a comprehensive schedule of tournaments and events happening near you. Head to the site, grab your tickets, and enjoy the experience.
Brawl Stars Championship 2025: Brawl Cup
The Brawl Stars tournament season is heading toward its finale. This past weekend in Dallas, the Brawl Stars Championship 2025: Brawl Cup unfolded, with teams vying for qualification spots for the World Championship and the Last Chance qualifiers. Even though the event was hosted in the U.S., the grand prize showdown was between two EMEA teams: HMBLE took down SK Gaming 3:1 in the final to clinch a direct ticket to the Brawl Stars World Finals 2025.

The Brawl Stars Championship 2025: Brawl Cup broadcasts racked up over 1.4 million hours of watch time, making it the most-watched event in the series’ history. Peak concurrent viewership hit 141,988, ranking it as the second most popular Brawl Stars tournament of 2025, surpassed only by the March EMEA Monthly Finals.

As you can see, Dallas hosted a slew of esports tournaments this past weekend, and we’ve only touched on a few of them here. We’re still gathering viewership data for the StarCraft II and Chess tournaments that took place during the joint DreamHack Dallas 2025 x EWC event. Also Halo Championship Series 2025: Dallas Open is still in progress. You’ll be able to find those stats on the Esports Charts tournament page in the next few days.
