The GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Dubai 2022 was the first offline Dota 2 tournament to feature some of the world’s best Dota 2 teams since The International 10, held last year in October. This resulted in an outstanding viewership comparable with the recent LCS Lock-In 2022 League of Legends tournament or with last year’s Eastern European and Southeast Asian qualifiers for Dota 2’s The International 10. Furthermore, the Dota 2 community called for Valve to adjust the DPC system to allow for more third-party events like this.
