How to watch VCT 2025 Masters Bangkok: streams, schedule, participants
This week, on February 20, the VCT 2025: Masters Bangkok begins and marks the first international LAN event of the VCT season. Eight of the best teams from the four International Leagues are competing for a total $500,000 prize pool and crucial VCT Points. Last year, the opening Masters event set a new peak viewership record for Valorant, having set the bar high for the new edition.

Heading to Thailand for the first time, the event will take place at the UOB Live. As Valorant continues to develop and find audiences in the Asian markets, hosting its international LAN events across Southeast Asia is a key tool for the developers to generate local excitement and interest in their flourishing esports title.
However, the event’s situation in Asia may have a negative effect on North and South American audiences, two of Valorant esports’ most critical major demographics. The time zone difference means that fans from the Americas will have to wake up in the twilight dawn to catch the action; for Valorant fans based on the United States’ west coast, the day of action will begin at 2am, likely ending just as the sun begins to rise. With this in mind, usual fan favorites Sentinels might struggle to generate the massive peaks we have seen them achieve at previous international tournaments.

Americas: G2 Esports, Sentinels
-
EMEA: Team Vitality, Team Liquid

China: EDward Gaming, Trace Esports
Looking at the teams qualified for Masters Bangkok, there are some key audiences for Valorant esports unfortunately unrepresented. Firstly, no team from Latin America managed to qualify for the Masters event, although MIBR came quite close. Both French and Spanish audiences from EMEA are also left with few options to cheer for: while it is true Team Vitality has qualified for the event, French Valorant viewers seem more interested in supporting the teams backed by content creators, such as Gentle Mates and Karmine Corp.
Japanese audiences continue to have no local teams to root for at Masters. The last year a Japanese team qualified for a Masters event was 2022, and viewership from this demographic reached almost 420,000 Peak Viewers, rivalling Valorant’s strong North American and international English-speaking audiences.

Valorant Masters Bangkok 2025 schedule:
-
Swiss Stage: Feb 20 – 24, 2025
-
Playoffs: Feb 27 – Mar 02, 2025
The event kicks off with an eight-team Swiss Stage, with each team being paired up against a competitor from another International League. Two wins are all that is required to advance to the four-team Playoffs, which feature a double-elimination bracket. If a team loses two games during the Swiss Stage, they will be eliminated.
Throughout the entire event, all games will be played as best-of-threes, with the exclusion of the lower bracket final and grand finals. These two matches will be played as best-of-fives, giving esports broadcasters plenty of time to reach high peak viewerships. If the grand finals feature two popular teams and go to the final map, this year could yet return extremely strong viewership results for Valorant esports.
The VCT also just announced that the Showmatch before the grand final will feature Team Thailand vs Team International. The Thai squad will be headed by Nattawat "SuperBusS" Yoosawat, and Tyson “TenZ” Ngo will lead its international counterpart. English-language viewership falling for the VCT Americas has coincided with TenZ’s retirement, and his participation here could make it one of the VCT’s most popular showmatches ever.
