Kick hits esports viewership milestone at StarLadder Budapest Major 2025
StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 has barely kicked off, yet it’s already delivering major viewership milestones. On day one, the event set a new esports viewership record for Hungary and followed it up with another landmark moment: Kick surpassed six-figure live viewership for the first time at an esports event.

Kick hit its new esports milestone during the second match set of the Counter-Strike Major, with two games running at once: Legacy vs. FlyQuest and PARIVISION vs. The Huns Esports. Most of Kick’s audience flocked to the Legacy’s match, powered largely by the Brazilian creator Alexandre “Gaules” Borba, one of the game’s biggest casters, who was co-streaming across multiple platforms.
This means Kick’s previous esports high was shattered, soaring by 64%. The previous peak came from another Counter-Strike event, FISSURE Playground #2, when the group stage also had two simultaneous matches: G2 Esports vs. Legacy and FaZe Clan vs. Falcons.
