LLA Closing 2022 results — why it didn't become the most popular event of the league?
This weekend, along with LCK Summer 2022, the tournament we covered earlier, LLA Closing 2022 came to an end. The tournament featured 8 of the strongest teams in Latin America fighting for a $53.5K prize pool and a slot in the Worlds 2022 Play-In stage. In a new Esports Charts article, we'll tell you about LLA Closing 2022, its viewership statistics, and an accident that didn’t let it become the most popular tournament in the series.
Isurus beat Estral Esports in the Grand final of the tournament with the score of 3:2. The match was incredibly tense and it was not clear who would become the champion until the very end. Isurus repelled Estral's attack on its base on the decisive map and counterattacked, which let the team to become victorious. Thus, the club won its third Latin American title in its history and will play in Worlds 2022 for the first time in three years.

We should also mention that Isurus eliminated Team Aze in the final of the lower bracket playoffs, the Opening 2022 champion and LLA representative in the last Mid-Season Invitational. Besides the aforementioned teams, Rainbow7 and Infinity are in the Top-5 of the tournament, while Globant Emerald is still the weakest team in the league as it placed last for the second split in a row.

LLA Closing 2022 has ranked second among the league's most popular tournaments, behind LLA 2021 Opening by fewer than a thousand Peak Viewers. It should be noted that the event had every chance to break into the top position, but an unexpected situation happened at the third map of the Grand final. The official LLA Twitch channel was off the air for a few minutes due to a technical problem and lost a small, but very necessary part of the audience needed for a new record. At the same time, LLA Closing 2022's Peak Viewers number was nearly 50% higher than Opening 2022, which featured all the same teams.
