T1 and Top Esports advance to Mid-Season Invitational 2024 Bracket Stage

T1 and Top Esports advance to Mid-Season Invitational 2024 Bracket Stage

May 03, 2024 2 min read

Having begun with a bang on May 1, recording the highest viewership ever for the first day in the series' history, the Mid-Season Invitational 2024 continued to do well. Day 3 of its Play-In Stage recorded the second-highest PV figure so far, with T1 being the common factor in both games.

The third day saw two games being held, with the clash between T1 and FlyQuest attracting 1.03M Peak Viewers. Unlike the first game on Day 1, where FlyQuest came back to beat PSG Talon in an intense series, this match saw a fairly straightforward 2:0 win for the world champion. The other match was a lot more action-filled, with Fnatic and Top Esports Gaming trading a map each before the Chinese esports organization kept its cool to come out the winner with a 2:1 scoreline.

Day 3 of the Mid-Season Invitational 2024 collected 3.3M Hours Watched and 694K Average Viewers. These were improvements from the second day, where there was a dip in viewer interest as the likes of T1, FlyQuest, and PSG Talon were not playing.

Looking ahead, with three matchdays done, T1 and Top Esports Gaming have progressed to the Bracket Stage, where they will join the four qualified sides — Bilibili GamingG2 EsportsGen.G, and Team Liquid While the schedule for this phase has not yet been revealed, it will consist of a double-elimination bracket where all matches are all matches are best-of-five.

This also means that for the likes of Estral Esports, PSG Talon, LOUD, and GAM Esports, May 4's Lower Bracket Semifinals will be their last chance to stay in this League of Legends competition. The former two will play in the Group A matchup, while the last two sides will be seen in action from Group B.

With a lot of the popular teams making their way to the Bracket Stage either via direct qualification or coming through the Play-In Stage, the viewership figures should continue to remain high.
