MLBB Mid Season Cup 2025 becomes first EWC event to reach 3M+ viewers
The ongoing MLBB Mid Season Cup 2025 has created a new record for the Esports World Cup, becoming the multi-disciplinary series's most popular event of all time. The second international major of the season reached 3,067,916 million Peak Viewers (PV) during the Knockout Stage Quarterfinals between RRQ Hoshi and Selangor Red Giants OG Esports.
This was a meeting between the world's most followed Mobile Legends: Bang Bang team and one of Malaysia's most popular and consistent teams. The former remains a huge draw among fans of the mobile MOBA, and the support it enjoys globally ensures that whichever event it participates in, the viewership blooms.

This is especially true if RRQ Hoshi makes it to the latter stages of any MLBB tournament, as audience interest increases. This has an effect on the sides it plays as well, as seen in the fact that this was Selangor Red Giants OG Esports' most popular match ever, and the first time it crossed the 3M PV mark.
The MSC 2025 will run till August 2, and although RRQ Hoshi will be absent after losing to Selangor Red Giants OG Esports, the organizers will hope that the viewership numbers remain stable as other top sides like Team Liquid PH and both ONIC sides (PH, ID) are still in with a chance of claiming the trophy. Readers can stay tuned to the results and any other viewership updates on the official event page, while a PRO subscription will give them access to more detailed statistics, including platform and language dynamics.
