Free Fire is one of the most popular mobile games in the world. 2021 was a very successful year for the esports scene of the title, as Free Fire World Series Singapore 2021 set a record for viewership, overtaking even classic disciplines. And this is not the only tournament that has attracted millions of viewers. In the new article, we overview the most watched competitions of 2021.

The most popular event both in the discipline and in the entire esports was the Free Fire World Series Singapore 2021 with 5.4M Peak Viewers! In addition, the tournament set a record for the Average Viewers, gathering 2 million. The reason for the success of the event is simple: all the top teams from the most active regions of the game (Brazil, India, Asia) played there. The result could have been even higher if the schedule was more convenient for the viewers from India (one of the top countries for the game in terms of popularity).

The second spot in the top is taken by the regional Free Fire League Latinoamerica 2021 Opening league, which attracted 1.4M Peak Viewers. This figure is doubly impressive as this tournament was only aimed at single region. Some of the world championships in other disciplines fail to attract as many viewers as Free Fire in Latin America.

The third spot is taken by the Free Fire Asia Championship 2021, which brought together seven regions: Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Taiwan, Pakistan, and Malaysia/Cambodia/Philippines. The tournament attracted 1.08M viewers due to the popularity of the game among the viewers from Asian countries (with India making up the largest part of the audience). Free Fire India Championship 2021 Fall also attracted 1.07M viewers and took the fourth spot in the ranking.

Closing the top 5 is another regional league – Liga Brasileira de Free Fire 2021 Series A Stage 1. The event with 18 best teams of Brazil attracted 827K Peak Viewers.

The success of Free Fire in terms of viewership was made possible by many factors: mobile gaming being now at its peak in Asia, India, and Spanish-speaking countries. Initially, PUBG Mobile was more popular in India, but with the game being banned in the country many players turned to Free Fire. The game is also broadcast on many platforms, both gaming (Twitch) and entertainment (TikTok), which increases the audience. It is impossible not to mention the gifts on the broadcasts, which are also helpful in attracting the viewers.
