The most popular tournament in August was MPL Indonesia Season 10, which started on August 12 and will end only at the end of October. During the last month of the summer, it reached the mark of 1.76M Peak Viewers – which happened during the match of RRQ Hoshi versus EVOS.LGN in the third week of the regular season.

PGL Arlington Major 2022 took the first spot in the top. The grand final of the tournament between Team Spirit and PSG.LGD was watched by 707.9K Peak Viewers, which placed it in the top 2 majors in the history of Dota 2. The event reached the mark of 631.6K Peak Viewers during the opening match of the Sentinels against the Guard, thanks to which the qualifier entered the top 10 most popular tournaments in the history of Valorant. Note that this match was the debut performance of the popular streamer shroud as a player of the Sentinels, which is why it caused such a stir.

At the same time, VCT 2022: North America Last Chance Qualifier became the most popular tournament in August among English-speaking esports fans. The abovementioned match was watched by over 595.8K Peak Viewers of the language segment.

LCK Summer 2022 was the second tournament by this indicator among the English-speaking audience. At the same time, its most popular match was not the grand final, but the semi-final between T1 and DAMWON Gaming, the English broadcasts of which were watched by more than 471.1K Peak Viewers. The European LoL League gathered 307.4K Peak Viewers on its English-language broadcasts in August. LCK_Korea became the most popular channel broadcasting esports tournaments in August. It reached almost 291.5K Peak Viewers during the grand final of LCK Summer 2022. The second spot by this indicator is occupied by the official Rocket League channel, which gathered more than 259K Peak Viewers during the semi-final of the World Championship between G2 Esports and FaZe Clan.

Closing the top 3 esports channels in August was LEC, with the first round of the lower bracket of the LEC Summer 2022 playoffs being watched by more than 216.8K Peak Viewers. The only community caster featured in this top was tarik. During the opening match of VCT 2022: North America LCQ, his broadcast gathered 196K Peak Viewers.
