MPL MENA Season 8 ends as the series’ most consistently watched event
The latest Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) season of the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region concluded on October 17. With its most popular side finishing in the top spot and booking its place in the world championship, it finished among the circuit's most successful events and #1 by average concurrent viewership.
The MPL MENA Season 8 was held over around six weeks as an online/offline affair, with the Grand Final held in front of fans at the Mall of Egypt in Cairo. It brought together the region's best teams as they battled for a prize pool of $60,000 and spots at the coveted M7 World Championship.

The finals pit the tournament's two best sides, Team Falcons and Axe, against each other. The former had finished the Regular Season as the only unbeaten team and maintained this momentum during the Playoffs to clinch the title with an unblemished record and take home $30,000.
Team Falcons also sealed a place in the Group Stage of the M7 World Championship, which will be held from January 1 to 31, 2026, in Jakarta. Axe, meanwhile, qualified for the competition's Wildcard stage, which will also see combatants from smaller leagues in Vietnam, Turkey, Europe, China, Mongolia, Japan and East Asia.

The Grand Final between Team Falcons and Axe was also the most popular game at the MPL MENA Season 8. It reached 42,475 Peak Viewers, less than a thousand viewers short of the series record held by the MPL MENA Season 5.
The MPL MENA Season 8 also accumulated 455,460 Hours Watched (HW), making it just the third competition in the series to cross the 400,00 HW mark. The leader by this metric is also the fifth season, which enjoyed the perfect storm in terms of the region's two top sides, Team Falcons and Twisted Minds, duking it out in the finals.

One area where this Mobile Legends: Bang Bang competition did come out on top in terms of the series results was in Average Viewers (AV). With qualification for the world championship at stake and all the prominent participants doing well, the latest split became the first in the MPL MENA regional league to attract over 7,000 AV.

Interestingly, Bigo Live, whicb retains a huge Arabic-speaking community, remains the most preferred livestreaming service for fans to catch the MPL MENA action. The platform continued to corner over 60% of this MLBB tournament's overall watch time, with TikTok emerging as the next-best option after posting a growth of almost 11% in its HW numbers compared to the previous split.
Overall, the MPL MENA continued its gradual development and established itself among the second tier of Mobile Legends Professional Leagues alongside Cambodia, Myanmar, and Singapore. As one of the circuits with potential to one day challenge the big three of Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines, a good display by its teams at the M7 World Championship will go a long way in reiterating this fact and attracting more support for the new season.
