Korean teams have continued to dominate this LoL Worlds competition so far, with three of its four representatives through to the semifinals. In fact, it could have been an all-Korean last four line-up if the draw had been a bit more favorable and hadn't pitted Gen.G and Hanwha Life Esports against each other in the quarterfinals.

Nevertheless, most of the top names have made it through to the semifinals, with Gen.G on track to complete one of the most dominant seasons in not just LoL but esports history. Most crucially, tournament favorite T1, vital to the 2025 LoL Worlds' chances of reaching new viewership peaks, has qualified despite not looking nearly convincing enough to win the whole thing.

The second semifinal will see the reigning two-time champion T1 face off against the only remaining Chinese hope, Top Esports Gaming. The latter is participating in just its fourth world championship and boasts a previous best finish of 3rd to 4th at the 2020 edition, so it would be a huge upset if it gets the better of its more illustrious and fancied opponent.

The first Semifinal is an all-LCK affair between Gen.G and KT Rolster, and judging by the former's form, only the brave would bet against it finally reaching a first Worlds final. It would also be a step toward the "optimistic scenario" grand final between T1 and Gen.G, which is key to this event breaking the series viewership record.

The 2025 League of Legends World Championship Semifinals will be held on November 1 and 2 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai.
