TI 2022 Last Chance Qualifier: Group Stage results and viewership statistics
The International 2022 Last Chance Qualifier playoffs are in full swing, and all Dota 2 main tournament participants will become known on October 12. In a new article, Esports Charts sums up the Group Stage of qualifiers, as well as the most popular teams, matches, languages and broadcast channels.
Group Stage Results
No one was eliminated from qualifiers at the end of the Group Stage, but nouns, Tempest, Infamous and Wildcard Gaming got into the playoffs' lower bracket, while other roster went to the upper bracket. Natus Vincere became the leader of Group A, beating Vici Gaming, Team Secret and Polaris Esports by points. The Ukrainian team finished the stage undefeated, with 2 wins and 3 draws. Team Liquid proved to be the strongest team in Group B, followed by Xtreme Gaming, Virtus.pro and T1. It should be noted that Liquid also had no losses, played twice in a draw and won three series.
Viewership Statistics
The TI 2022 LCQ Group Stage broadcasts totaled more than 5.9 million Hours Watched and 280.2K Average Viewers. The Group Stage saw a Peak Viewers number of more than 552.7K people reached at four simultaneous matches on the final day. We should note that the qualification clearly lacks European viewers, as the matches start early in the morning according to the local time.
The most popular encounter of the stage is the match between Virtus.pro and T1, which attracted almost 379K PV. Another VP match is in second place according to this metric, but the team ranks only third by popularity, drawing 151.4K AV at their games. The most popular team of the stage is T1, with Xtreme Gaming in second place. Their AV number was higher than VP's by 17% and 10%, respectively.

The most popular TI 2022 LCQ broadcast language during the Group Stage was English. Broadcasts in this language accumulated more than 2.4 million HW, accounting for 41% of the Group Stage's total HW number. Russian-language broadcasts are in second place, accounting for almost 35% of stage's HW number. Tagalog, one of the main languages in the Philippines, surprisingly made it into the Top 3, accounting for 6% of the Group Stage's total.
TI 2022 LCQ matches are actively covered both by professional studios and by community casters. Some of them stream the qualification concurrently with the official broadcasting channels, while others have a 15-minute delay. The most popular channel among the official ones is PGL_Dota2 in English. Its viewers accumulated 15.5% of the total HW number in the Group Stage. The leader among community-casters (and second in the overall ranking of channels) is the Russian-speaking streamer Nix, who had 11% of the stage's HW total. It should be noted that the Russian-speaking community-casters accumulated more than 76% of the language's HW result.
