The opening day of the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 delivered plenty of thrilling highlights for Counter-Strike fans. The spotlight was on Andrij ‘’npl’’ Kukharsjkyj from B8 Esports and Nico ‘’nicoodoz’’ Tamjidi from OG, both of whom put on a show by racking up four kills each during intense bombsite battles.
1v4 clutch by npl (B8 vs Imperial @ Inferno)
Ukrainian player npl delivered an incredible display of skill and composure during B8 Esports’ match against Imperial Esports on Inferno. With the score tied at 10:10, B8 planted the bomb at Bombsite B and prepared to defend against the retake. The Brazilian squad executed a smart push, breaking through B8’s defense and leaving npl in a 1v4 clutch.
Refusing to back down, npl took out three opponents before being eliminated. The final Imperial player survived, but ran out of time to defuse the bomb. That clutch effort secured a critical round for B8 Esports — one that helped pave the way to their eventual victory.
4 headshots by nicoodoz (OG vs Col @ Ancient)
Danish player nicoodoz, from OG, put on a clinic with the AK-47 during Round 10 of their match against Complexity on Ancient. Engaging in a firefight at Bombsite B, he pulled off an incredible four-kill streak — all headshots. Even nicoodoz seemed shocked by his precision, letting out a shout of surprise after clutching the round.
The highlight reels from nicoodoz and npl were standout moments on the official BLASTPremier Twitch stream. Over 73,700 viewers watched live as the Danish player landed his crisp headshots, while more than 80,000 tuned in for the Ukrainian’s clutch. And that doesn’t even include viewers from other streaming channels.
