Top tournaments among Indonesian viewers — August 2022

There is a good reason why Indonesia is called the capital of mobile esports and this ranking is another proof of that. The Esports Charts team has compiled the Top 5 most popular tournaments with Indonesian viewers in August and all five places are taken by Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and PUBG Mobile.

The most popular August tournament with viewers from Indonesia is ML:BB MPL Indonesia Season 10. The match between RRQ Hoshi and ONIC Esports, which took place on August 20, drew more than 1.5 million Peak Viewers on the Indonesian broadcast. That's more than Valorant or Apex Legends tournaments have ever had.

PUBG Mobile Pro League Indonesia Fall 2022, a regional league, is in second place in the ranking. At the August 28 matches, the Peak Viewers number on the official Indonesian broadcast was 265.5K people. This is the best result of the season.

MDL Regional League Indonesia Season 6 ranks third among the most popular esports August tournaments with viewers from Indonesia. On August 25, the Peak Viewers number of 192.9K people was reached at the match between EVOS Icon and Alter Ego X. So far this is the best result of the season, but there is still more than a month to go.

In fourth place is PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022. On August 20, the Peak Viewers number on the Indonesian broadcast was 156.7K people. It should be noted that Indonesian is the most popular language of the tournament. Second by metrics is English, but the PV number on the English broadcast did not exceed 130K people.

ML:BB Woman Star League Season 5 rounds out the Top 5. On August 7, RRQ Mika and MBR Delphyne clashed in the final of the lower bracket, and this match attracted more than 82.5K Peak Viewers. Interestingly, the final of the tournament drew a smaller audience, although it was held on the same day.
