The fourth edition of Twitch Rivals’ Rocket League Showdown for Europe and North America concluded recently with a victory of Team Gregan for EU and Team Lethamyr for NA. Both regional Rocket League competitions featured eight teams of four in a battle for a $25 000 shared prize pool. As usual, the player composition was composed of content creators and professional athletes, including some of the biggest names in the Rocket League scene. Compared to the tournament’s previous editions, both regional events attracted notably lower audiences.

The more popular out of the two events was the European Showdown, which attracted 68.38K Peak Viewers and accumulated over 245.66K Hours Watched. In total, 66 Twitch channels streamed the tournament won by Team Gregan, which lost only one match during the competition. The squad consisted of its captain Gregan and team members Kash, hibbs and Jorhdys

Because the event’s participants were from various European countries, there were multiple language groups present among its audience, with the most prevalent being English, French, Turkish and Spanish. On average, 39.3K viewers tuned in.

The North American Showdown took place after the European event ended, drawing a significantly lower audience. With one hour longer broadcast, the tournament generated 156.6K Hours Watched, which is 36.24% less than the European edition. The event peaked at 33K concurrent viewers, reaching a 51.69% lower PV mark than the EU event.

Similarly to EU, the winning Team Lethamyr, which consisted of Rocket League players and creators LethamyrMistWayton and PhantomACE, finished with only one loss. The event was streamed by 37 Twitch channels, mostly in English and French, and attracted 22.1K Average Viewers — 43.74% less than the EU event.

Compared to the results of the previous edition of the Twitch Rivals Rocket League Showdown for EU and NA, which took place in August 2021, there’s a visible decline in the tournament’s viewership. While the European version of the event showed an 18.4% decline in average viewership, the AV mark of the North American event was 22.97% lower
